Can’t make it to the Food Bank? We will go for you.*

*For existing GVFB clients who are in isolation or cannot get to one of their locations

  • The Food Bank provides a package based on your household size.

  • We’ll reach out to you by phone to coordinate.

Note: This is not a reoccurring service. We are temporarily supporting isolated GVFB clients who are unable to attend due to COVID-19. If you have already received a delivery and require another delivery, you will need to submit another request through this page.

We are currently focusing on the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. If you are a member of a different food bank (like the Richmond Food Bank or the Surrey Food Bank), you won’t be able to use this form at this time. We are working to partner with more food banks soon!

Notice

With cases down and many of our volunteers now back at work, Food Bank deliveries have been suspended for now. Depending on how the Province-wide reopenings continue, we may deliver again in the future!

Check back here for updates!

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@ersv.ca
If you are having trouble accessing the Greater Vancouver Food Bank services directly, consider reaching out to a local Neighbourhood House who is working with the GVFB to provide food more directly to your community. See a list of Neighbourhood Houses at: ersv.ca/neighbourhood-houses

FAQs

Is it really free?

Yes, we are working on a volunteer basis, and do not charge anything for the deliveries or our time.

Do you do Food Bank deliveries in my city?

we are currently focusing on the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. If you are a member of a different food bank (like the Richmond Food Bank or the Surrey Food Bank), you won’t be able to use this form at this time. We are working to partner with more food banks soon!

How does it work?

Once we receive your request, we will call or text you to confirm it and make sure we can reach you. We then coordinate with the Food Bank to get your items prepared. Once they’re ready, our volunteers pick up the items and deliver them directly to you. Currently we’re doing Food Bank deliveries until May 22nd, and will update the page if we continue past that date.

How can I help?

We need all the help we can get. The three main areas we need help are 1) getting the word out to people who need our service, 2) more delivery volunteers to make pickups and deliveries and 3) donations to fund the upfront costs of food and the hiring of professional drivers when needed.

How long will it take?

Though we work as quickly as we can, we are limited by how many people we have helping, and by Food Bank hours and locations which are frequently changing at this time. We will do our best to get to you, and if your order has issues or may take longer, we will try to contact you at the phone number you provided.
